2011 Ford Edge review;

The 2011 Ford Edge can be purchased from an Auburn Ford Dealership and is one of the top mid sized SUVs on the market. The Ford Edge has sold out at dealerships throughout the country including MN Ford Dealership since it launched last year, and it is a completely new model offered by Ford. It has a high quality cabin and powerful engine choices and is one of the top crossovers on the market, and it also comes with the Ford infotainment system that Ford is highly praised for. Other models with the Ford SYNC system can be purchased or test driven at a Mesa Ford Dealer.

The Edge was designed to have high quality interior materials and some of the top features available. It is also one of the safest vehicles on the market, winning many awards for its safety features. The Edge is also quiet and comfortable, and other SUVs on the market are not as quiet or comfortable as the Edge. The Edge offers a great driving experience that is hard to match in other SUV models. The pricing on the Edge is also competitive but it is about in the middle of the range when it comes to SUVs. The higher trim levels are also more expensive.

The Ford Edge is also one of the most fuel efficient SUVs on the market. Competing models include the Toyota Highlander which is less expensive at a starting price. The Mazda CX-7 is much less expensive compared to the Edge but does not have some of the same features. The fuel economy for the CX-7 is pretty good with 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway, although the Ford Edge does come close to this fuel economy. The Edge is a newly styled vehicle but the CX-7 is also very modern.

2012 Ford Focus earns top Euro safety ratings;

The 2012 Ford Focus which can be purchased from TX Ford Dealer and other local Ford dealers has earned top safety ratings from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety as well as from European agencies, and the 2012 Ford Focus will be available for sale at Richmond Ford Dealer and other Ford dealerships at the end of the year. The 2012 Ford Focus is equipped with the latest safety and tech features, and it looks to be another top selling compact vehicle from Ford, which has had great success with the Focus and other Ford models. Ford's latest models are also available at a Ford Dealer Mesa.

The 2012 Ford Focus will also be available in a number of electrified versions including a plug-in hybrid and full electric vehicle. There are currently 12 Ford vehicles that have earned the top safety pick award from the IIHS. The Euro NCAP also announced that the 2012 Ford Focus earned a maximum five star rating from its safety tests. The Ford Focus has been in high demand with sales increasing 22 percent to 17.265 in April as opposed to last year. The Focus is sought after for its fuel economy and host of high tech features.

The 2012 Ford Focus was designed with a stiff and lightweight steel body structure that is designed to maximum crash impact resistance and to meet global safety standards. There are high strength boron steels used to reinforce the structure and it was rigorously tested using computer simulations. With global safety being a major concern for new vehicles, Ford has met the requirements of most global companies. 55 percent of the shell of the Focus is composed of high strength steels with 31 percent composed of Boron steel which is ultra high strength. This is the highest percentage out of any Ford model to date, and it goes to show Ford's commitment to building quality and safe vehicles. The Focus comes with other features that make it a standout Ford model.

Who Has The Edge In Life?

Ford Dealers MD is now carrying the all new, 2011 Ford Edge.  It was ranked number 8 out of 23 Affordable Midsize SUV.  It comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that can create 285 horsepower.  The engine is paired with a six speed automatic transmission.  Ford is suppose to add a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four cylinder engine to it's lineup sometime this year.  It will include a specialized six speed transmission and should be an improvement to the fuel economy.

The Edge, from Ford Dealership New York, comes with a pretty cut and dry protection package.  It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty and a five year or 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.  The 2011 model has not yet been crash tested, but the 2010 model, from Ford Dealer Fairport, did very well.  It received five stars for protecting occupants in all outboard seating positions in side impact crash tests, five stars for driver protection in frontal crash tests and four stars for passenger protection.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2010 model it's highest ranking of "Good" in frontal, side impact and rear crash protection.

The Edge comes standard with dual stage front airbags, front seat mounted side impact airbags and side curtain airbags.  They also have four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes and Advancetrac with roll stability control.  There is a Power Side View Blind Spot mirror that helps the driver see while they are moving through traffic.  Ford has also installed an SOS Post Crash Alert System that flashes the hazard lights and sounds the horn in the case of an collision.  MyFord Touch interface replaces the traditional button controls with touchscreens and a five-way controller.  It includes touch sensitive sliders for the stereo volume and fan speed.

Ford has installed a new Blind Spot Information System which alerts the driver with an indicator light when a vehicle is detected entering the "blind spot zone".  It also has a cross traffic alert feature which uses blind spot monitoring  sensors to audibly and visually alert the driver to approaching traffic while they are backing up out of a parking spot or driveway.  You really can't beat half of the features that Ford has installed into the Edge.  Go to your local dealership and test drive one.  I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

2011 Ford F-150 is a top safety pick;

The EcoBoost engine choice has become a popular selection for buyers of the Ford F-150 with 37 percent of 2011 Ford F-150 buyers purchasing this option, and other Ford features have made the brand much more popular in recent years. Ford currently has 11 vehicles that have earned the rating of Top Safety Picks and vehicles in many market segments with this rating. The requirements for a vehicle to receive this rating are good reviews for front, side, and rear impact tests. There is also a new roof strength evaluation as well as electronic stability control which is taken into consideration for the rating.

With the latest safety ratings being more stringent than they have been in the past, Ford has met the latest requirements with new features like dual stage front airbags, front seat mounted side airbags, roll stability control, MyKey, trailer sway control, and other features. There are also other Ford models that have earned top safety picks including the 2011 Ford Edge, 2011 Ford Explorer, 2011 Ford Taurus, 2011 Ford Fusion, 2011 Ford Fiesta, 2011 Ford Flex, 2011 Lincoln MKS, MKT, MKX, and MKZ. The F-Series continues to be the best selling truck in America for the 34th year in a row, and the latest safety award will only help that trend continue.

Ford’s List of Flops!

American automakers sometimes take the brunt of the criticism for producing models that are ugly, useless, or even downright dangerous. Ford has had its share of beasts through the years in addition to several winners including the current Mustang from Granger Ford, for which demand cannot be met. For the fun of it let’s take a look at some of the Ford models that have been derided down through the years. You can find a lot of newer and older model Ford's at places like used cars Bradenton. If you currently own a Ford, you can check out transmission repair shop Bradenton for your regular services.

Model T – What?! How can the car that introduced mass production make the list? Well, the car was fine, but Mr. Henry Ford’s statement, “…you can have any color you want as long as it is black” has been attributed with the rise of General Motors [who gave its customers a choice in colors] which eventually dethroned Ford as the top automaker in the world. No, the Model T was fine, but Mr. Ford’s marketing strategy was not.

Edsel – In September 1957, Ford launched a new division – Edsel – and introduced to America one of the weirdest looking cars. Sporting a “horse-collar” shaped grille – some equated it with a toilet seat – the Edsel line was hyped by Ford and rejected by consumers wholeheartedly. Expecting to build 200,000 Edsels in its first year of production, only 63,000 were built. Other “radical” aspects of the Edsel included a “floating” speedometer that glowed upon reaching a particular speed and an awkward push button transmission with controls attached to the hub of the steering wheel. Even with a quick makeover completed in time for the next model year, the Edsel limped along only to be pulled one month after the third model year vehicles were released.

Pinto – Hey, even I owned one! With a 2.3L inline four cylinder paired with a 4 speed manny tranny, the Pinto was Ford’s answer during the 1970s to the onslaught of Japanese cars flooding the market. The compact rear wheel drive coupe, three door hatchback, or wagon sold fairly well until disaster hit: the revelation that the Pinto’s gas tank was capable of exploding during a rear impact scared buyers away. Mercifully pulled after the 1980 model year; replaced by the popular Escort.

Mustang II – Ford tarnished the Mustang name during the 1970s with this forgettable and ugly model. Resembling a bloated and stretched Pinto, the Mustang II was weak, poorly made, and a terrible competitor against its arch rival, the Camaro. All was forgiven by the early 1980s with the return of a newly designed Mustang. Today’s Mustang, on the other hand, is a sold-out success story as it took its styling cues from a Mustang of another era: the fastback cars of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Before you point your finger at Ford, don’t forget to recall some truly forgettable models, foreign and domestic. The Toyota Van was panned for its ugly styling and for having an engine that had to be dropped from the engine bay in order to do a tune up; the Chevy Vega – a Pinto wannabe; AMC’s Pacer – the Jetson’s car; the Suzuki Samurai and Isuzu Rodeo – flip over specialists; the Yugo – a thinly redone 1960s era Fiat; and countless other cars not worth the mention. You hope that automakers learn from their mistakes, but don’t count on it. Maybe in another generation we will see a truly forgettable Ford show up, but for now there isn’t one in the line up...hooray for that!

Ford Dealers Now.

If you are looking for a used Ford from places like Ohio Ford Dealer, then going online with a specialist used car website can considerably cut down the time you spend on your search for the car. A specialist site will offer all the tools needed for you to find your ideal used car by giving you access to tools which you can tailor to your needs such as the used car search engine to ensure that you are only spending time on the model of Ford you are interested in. You can also find things like Ford Taurus pricing online as well.

To begin with you can use the extensive search tool which all specialist used car websites will offer, this allows you to search not only for a used Ford but you can also search based on the area in which you wish to travel, the price of the car, model of car and any extras you wish to have and even down to the color if needed. This is without a doubt the quickest and easiest ways of narrowing down you search so that you only have to look through the exact model you have in mind rather than wade through pages of cars you are not interested in. Some of the bigger used car websites will have thousands of used cars and even a huge range of used Fords so using a search engine to narrow down your choices is essential. You can also find out more information about Cincinnati Ford Dealer online too.

Once you have narrowed down what is on offer using the search engine you could still be left with a huge choice of cars. You can either narrow down your search even more or start to compare the choices of used Ford you have found. To help you there should be good clear photographs of the car from the front, back, sides and if you are lucky the interior of the car and this can give you a good indication of the bodywork of the car. There should also be a detailed listing with all the necessary information regarding the car such as the shape it is in, how many miles it has done, the price and of course if the seller is honest any problems the car has.

You do have to be aware of any used Ford that seems too good to be true. While there are many honest sellers just looking to pass on their car there are also some unscrupulous dealers who will try to make a profit from an old banger, often posing as a private seller. If you don’t know anything about used cars and in particular a used Ford then it is essential that you get advice before going to actually view the car and hand over your money. Again a specialist used car website can come in very handy, they should offer articles, hints, tips and advice on what to look for when it comes to going and viewing the car. Taking their advice can save you a lot of problems in the future and you should follow it if you want to avoid being ripped off by an unscrupulous dealer trading as a private seller.

Ford finds alternative for paint;

Ford faced a problem with supplies when it found out that paint supplied from Japan would not be available after the earthquake, however Ford has sold this problem and found an alternative solution the problem. Ford's latest models can be purchased from a Greensburg Ford Dealer, and Ford among other automakers has had problems with Japanese sourced parts after the earthquake devastated certain regions of Japan and affected factory part output. Japanese automakers are more reliant on Japanese parts and as a result Toyota and Honda have had to actually stall operations, while Ford has not had to do so. Ford continues to produce vehicles for Sunnyvale Ford Dealership and other dealerships throughout the country.

Replacement colors were found for the paint colors which were black and metallic red, and these colors are used on models sold at Ford Dealersihp Tuscaloosa and other dealerships. On March 25 Ford told dealers that they could not order metallic tuxedo black and other shades of metallic reds due to the paint shortage because Merck KGaA who supplies the paint was not able to operate its Japanese factories due to it being too close to a nuclear reaction that was affected by the earthquake. The factory is located in Onahama and it may take up to four weeks or more before employees can get back to the facility to resume work.

The pigment Xirallic is produced by the plant and the pigment is used to give a glistening look to metallic paints. There are six more colors that will go out of production in the next few weeks due to the lack of Xirallic but there will still be a large number of colors available for buyers. Color replacement will not affect the pricing of Ford models, and Ford did raise its prices last month. Ford found a way to replace some of the colors like tuxedo black using a nonmetallic color.
