Ford Recalls To 125K Vehicles!
Ford has come out with a recall on this month. This recall will affect about 125,000 vehicles between the Mercury Milan and the Ford Fusion. The National Highway Safety and Traffic Association confirm the announcement that the recall could cause a possible injury due to an accident. So, far this only affect vehicle of two models and from a particularly part of a time frame. Ford will be notifying owners as of January 24th, 2012. The vehicles affected are the 2010 and 2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models. The vehicles that were assembled from April 1st-30th, 2009 and December 1st, 2009 through Novemeber 13th, 2010. The total count has come t0 126,616 with 8,220 units located in Canada. The recall is due to a wheel stud fracture. This could cause the
driver to experience driver vibration or wheel separation increasing the risk for an accident. Ford says they have the available parts for the fix and are instructing drivers to go to the dealers and let the technicians inspect the vehicle. Ford will replace all lug nuts and any disc brake repairs that seem to have symptoms of wear from lug nut issues.
Do not be to frightened, there have not been any reports stating accidents from lug nut recall. Have your Mercury Milan or Ford Fusion checked out at your local Olathe Ford Dealers. If you bought your vehicle from Chrysler Dealership Ankeny or Alexandria Mercedes Dealers, as long as the factory warranty is in effect, you should be covered. Due check with your paperwork or call the customer service number to ensure vehicle coverage.
